communication - standard 3: public speaking (sophomore year semester 1) - 1. the student acknowledges there audience and purpose of the occasion and adapts speech and content accordingly - evidence: i had participated in OCC which is a FFA event where we compete our opening and closing which is scoring on memorization and our body language while we say our part. i had scored a 48/50 through the judges on my public speaking.
- standard 1: written communication (sophomore year semester 2) -5. the student leader creates a resume and/or portfolio. - evidence: for the ag/sci program i had to attend a saturday seminar. for the saturday seminar i had a create a resume for my assignment.
- standard 7: interpersonal skills (junior year semester 1) - 1. the student leader acknowledges the value of teamwork and consensus building in all aspects of student leadership. - evidence: this summer i attended CADA/CASAL camp at UCSB. i learned to become a better leader, and while i was there our council had to plan reflection night. during the reflection night me and my partner made a slide where we asked another council what was there favorite memory of CADA, this slide was than added to the slideshow that was presented during reflection night. i learned to be able to collaborate and work together with one another a lot better. we resolved problems together and at the end we had a awesome reflection night. it taught me many skills and ideas i will now be able to bring back to our class and this school year.
personal and social developments - standard 1: group dynamics (sophomore year semester 1) - 6. the student leader celebrates accomplishments and recognizes the contribution of others. - evidence: after a football game many girls on the cheer team felt discouraged on how they did and i had sent our jv group chat a text to ensure that they did amazing at the game no matter what did happen. i want to make sure that they feel confident in making mistakes and to always brush things off and try again.
- standard 2: goal setting, feedback, and evaluation (sophomore year semester2 ) - 1. the student leader sets short term and long term personal goals - evidence: in the beginning of the year i had created a list of short and long terms i would like to accomplish, not only just in 2023 but also moving forward.
- standard 1: group dynamics (junior year semester 1) - 3. the student leader assumes a leadership role in an activity or group work that allows them to facilitate and direct the groups activities. - evidence: this year i am a link crew leader, me and my friend lilly are in charge of a group of freshman where we play games with and show around school during freshman orientation. me and lilly create activities the day before freshman orientation to do with our freshman. we do this so they could all get to know one another and so they know we will always be a mentor for them.
civic and service learning - standard 3: community service (sophomore year semester 1) - 2. the student leader participates in a service activity or project to serve a specific need of others - evidence: in the year over the past months i participate in helping my community at church. every sunday i sing at the choir at my church, once in awhile i help package food to be distributed to the families in need of food every week, in december i help wrap christmas gifts for the families in need and help distributing to the families on christmas day.
-standard 1: civic and community engagement (sophomore year semester 2) - 1. the student leader develops partnership with various student, school, parents, and community groups. - evidence: i am apart of BDP a club at tracy high school that is partnered with KJP. BDP & KJP go to different middle schools to present a presentation on anti-bullying and how we can stop it. not only do we partner with kimball but also tracy crime stoppers.
-standard 3: community service (junior year semester 1) - 2. the student leader participates in a service activity or project to serve a specific need of others. - evidence: for christian fontes senior project he is trying to bring back tradition to tracy high. therefore he has been setting up away dog pounds for kids to attend. i attended the sheldon vs tracy game and was cheering in dog pound.
business and finance - standard 2: fundraising (sophomore year semester 1) - 5. the student leader serves as both a participant and leader in various fundraising activities and employs effective sales technique - evidence: our class of 2025 has done many fundraisers so far this year. during fundraisers i am actively helping out with the fundraising, for example for the candy apples i had went around neighbors asking if people would like to buy or for the aldos fundraiser i went there to give 20% of my order for the class of 2025.
- standard 4: advertising (sophomore year semester 2) - 2. the student leader makes sure each advertisement contains all necessary information for the procedure or event - evidence: as link crew commissioner i was asked to create a post to advertise freshman orientation. in the post i was required to have written freshman orientation, august 3rd 10am-12pm, check in at 9:30am at main gym, campus tour, group bonding, pizza, and prizes.
- standard 4: advertising (junior year semester 1) -4. the student leader utilizes a variety of techniques and media to deliver the message to the target audience. - evidence: on the class account we use the story feature on instagram to repost events/fundraisers that are going on throughout the school year. not only do we use the class account but we repost them on our personal instagram account because some kids do not follow the main school account and class account.
government - standard 2: procedures (sophomore year semester 1) - 2. the student leader contributes to the creation of rules, regulations, agreements and contracts - evidence: our class had contributed and helped make our class norms/rules for when we have class meetings, so this way we can always stay on task on what we are talking about and respect each-other. at the end we had all signed a contract that we will follow theses rules during class meetings.
- standard 3: elections and appointments (sophomore year semester 2) - 4. the student leader constructs a campaign speech or presentation and/or participates in an interview process. - evidence: my freshman year i had applied to be the 2022-2023 ffa chapter reporter. during this process i needed to create a speech persuading those on why they should elect me as there reporter.
- standard 2: procedures (junior year semester 1) - 2. the student leader contributes to the creation of rules, regulations, agreements, and contracts for student led activities - evidence: in order to get access of the class of 2025 funds i had to sign a contract with my personal information so i am able to have an account. i had to agree to follow the rules which were not changing the password and that i am trusted with this important information since this is a schools activities account.
technology and digital citizenship - standard 2: digital citizenship (sophomore year semester 1) - 1. the student leader cultivates and manages there digital identity and reputation and demonstrates awareness of the permeance of there actions in the digital world - evidence: by creating this website i have put myself out in the digital area positively. this is for people who want to know more about me and my leadership role. its also for people to have access of contacting me for any particular reason.
- standard 4: video and photography (junior year semester 1) - 1. the student leader recognizes the role of video and photography in the promotion - evidence: during spirt weeks we go around taking photos/boomrangs of people from our class that are participating in the spirit week. we than post these photos on our class account to encourage others to participate so they can be recognized also. this creates a fun environment because they like dressing up and reposting things on there instagram.
